Personal Inclusive Pronouns

The pronoun ᓀᔥᑕᓃ neshtanii ‘me too’ indicates that a person is also included. To say that someone is also included, the following set of personal pronouns can be used:

The above forms are not used in all communities, they are only attested in the Inland dialect, and with elders. Younger people use ᓃ ᑲᔦ nii kaye or ᑲᔦ ᓃ kaye nii ‘me too’, i.e the set of emphatic personal pronouns with the particle kaye ‘also’. ᓀᔥᑕᓃ neshtanii should not be confused with ᓀᔥᑦ ᓃ nesht nii, ‘me too’, or where ᓀᔥᑦ nesht is a coordinating particle.
