Dubitative Pronouns
Use a dubitative pronoun to wonder about:
- people or things
- selection
- animate beings or things
Dubitative pronoun for selection
ᑖᓈᒋᒑ ᒥᓯᓂᐦᐄᑭᓐ ᒑ ᑎᐦᑯᓂᒫᓐ᙮ | taanaachichaa misinihiikin chaa tihkunimaan. | |
‘I wonder which book I should take with me.’ |
ᑖᓈᒋᒑ taanaachichaa is made up of the pronoun ᑖᓐ taan plus the dubitative inflection. ᑖᓈᒋᒑ taanaachichaa is used when there is doubt about the selection of the person or the thing being discussed. It can be used alone or with a noun.
