The noun for pilot in the Inland dialect is made from the stem of the verb ᐱᒥᐦᔮᐤ pimihyaau it flies with the preform kaa- and the conjunct ending -t. This is the way nouns for professions and machines can be created. They are indicated as Noun Animate Participle (nap), or Noun Inanimate Participle (nip) in the Cree dictionary.

When adding possession inflection the kaa- is usually dropped. A few Inland speakers keep it.
